Free Ride shop move announcement

Announcement: the Free Ride shop is changing location

Where the new shop will be located

We will remain in the same warehouse as a tenant of Construction Junction. We will be moving to a different area in the warehouse.

The new space has a street-side entrance. Reach the new space at the corner of Thomas and North Lexington.

When the move will occur

Free Ride will have access to the new space Monday, June 11, 2012.

Since Monday is a volunteer night, we will begin moving into the new space that day. The entire move may take up to a month as we prepare the space and move items over.

How to help

Please come to volunteer night to help with the move. Also, keep an eye out on the volunteer list for requests for help. We may have special requests for equipment or skills as we prepare then new space.

What Free Ride programs will be affected

We will attempt to keep disruption to a minimum.

We plan to continue classes as scheduled.

We may need to cancel some open shop time and use that as volunteer time to get the space ready and to move items to the new space>

Our summer youth programs should not be noticeably affected

We will be cleaning out old Earn-A-Bike projects and other bike stock, so if you have a project in the shop, it may be affected

Questions? More info

Contact us or stop by volunteer night for more information

We will try to update the blog and send information to the list when it becomes available.

Please keep me informed as to any move plans. I am able to help out almost any time as long as I have nothing else planned.

  2. John McDonald Says:

Available most days during the day in case one of the more skilled volunteers needs a third (and/or fourth)hand.

Thanks John! I decided against posting your phone to the entire web, though. Our wiki pages might be a better place for it…
