The Homewood Health Matters Event is back this year with a shiny new set of wheels!
In addition to our annual 5K run-walk, and our health expo on Stargell Field, this year’s event will also feature a 10K bicycling loop.
Participants will start and finish on Hamilton Avenue near Stargell Field. The 10K bike ride will start at 9 AM where bikers of all abilities will take two loops through Homewood. Participants without a bike can can rent a bike for free on race day compliments of Healthyride Pittsburgh (If renting, participants need to be at least 16 years of age on race day).
Runners and Walkers
Those participating on foot will start their 5K loop at 10 AM. The 5K is open to everyone 9 years and older. 5K Awards will go to the top male and female runners overall and by age group (18 and under, 19-29, 30-49, 50+).
After the 5K, all participants are invited to attend the Health Expo on Stargell Field. The Health Expo will consist of different organizations providing health education and more. For all children aged 0 to 8, there will be a FREE Ribbon Race at 11:30 AM on Stargell Field.
Online Registration will close June 24th. If you would still like to particpate, you can register in person on race day starting at 8am.
